Distance Learning

For cadets and faculty, the fall semester will resume Monday, Nov. 23 at the conclusion of Thanksgiving furlough, with classes going completely online for the duration of Fall 2020. Cadets and faculty will once again adapt well to this change in situation.

Members of the information technology continue to work both remotely and on post to ensure all members of the VMI community can teach, learn, and perform their jobs well no matter where they are geographically.

To this end, VMI has collected information and resources to assist cadets and faculty as they continue their academic journey through distance learning:

“VMI has taught me a lot about self-discipline and how to add structure to my life. So with taking online classes at home, I made a schedule for myself similar to the one I had at VMI. I wake up in the morning and get ready for my day. I attend my morning lectures via Zoom and do work for my morning classes, eat lunch, and then work on my afternoon class. After completing all my classes, I do some to keep up with my physical fitness.” - Cadet Alexandra Duklis ’21
