Registration is now open for VMI’s 31st annual Environment Virginia Symposium, to be held March 23-25, 2021. This conference, sponsored by the Center for Leadership and Ethics, attracts environmental professionals representing private industry, state agencies, and nonprofits.

Two Air Force ROTC cadets have been recognized by the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME). SAME, which focuses on building leaders to address national security infrastructure challenges, honored Eric Munro '21 and Leon Thomas ’22 with a Southeast Region ROTC Award.

Colonel William J. Wanovich ’87, commandant of the VMI Corps of Cadets since 2014, will retire at the end of the 2020-21 academic year.

Col. Valentina Dimitrova-Grajzl, professor of economics and business at Virginia Military Institute, will discuss access to consumer credit for those living on or near American Indian reservations in the United States on the public radio program With Good Reason Jan. 23-29.

Registration is now open for the VMI Center for Leadership & Ethics 2021 Leadership Conference, “Strong Leaders, Strong Teams.” This event will be held online Feb. 15-16 and will explore a progression of teamwork principles.

The superintendent regrets to inform the VMI community of the death of Dr. Arnold "Arnie" Joyce. He passed away in Lexington on 23 December 2020 at the age of 82.
