1. Introduce Yourself to the Institute

If you are interested in attending VMI next year, or in the future, the best place to start is by connecting with the Institute through our inquiry form. This will let the Admissions team know that you are ready to learn more about the advantages of a VMI education, and lead to invites to events, notices of application opening dates, scholarship opportunities and more.

2. Visit Post & Meet with Admissions

The best way to experience all that VMI has to offer those who choose to 'Never Settle for Ordinary' is to visit post (VMI's campus) and meet with faculty, staff, and cadets during an in-person open house. Our admissions team is also standing by ready to meet with you through a one-on-one interview, in person or digitally.

3. Prepare Academically & Physically

It is important that you begin practicing good study habits and self-discipline in high school, taking courses that will help you be competitive in the college admission process. Applicants should also prepare for the physical demands of VMI. Explore our academics, ROTC programs, and cadet life to learn more about what you'll do as a member of the Corps.
