Stone Wall Quote Adult T-Shirt

How did Jackson get his most famous nickname, "Stonewall?" The quote on the back of this classic T-shirt reveals the answer: the Battle of First Manassas, July 1861. While trying to rally his regiments, General Gernard Bee of South Carolina spotted Jackson mounted on his horse in the distance. In the midst of his retreating troops, General Bee pointed his sword toward the hill Jackson was on and yelled: "There stands Jackson like a stone wall!" From then on, Thomas Jackson was known as "Stonewall."
