Erixene Morrison Quilt Magnet

Similar to the ornament, the design on this tile magnet is based on the tulip pattern from a applique and trapunto quilt that Mary Anna Morrison Jackson owned. Dating to the 1850s, the quilt was handmade by Mary Anna's aunt, Erixene Morrison, who gave the piece to her niece, Stonewall Jackson's second wife. 

On your tour of the Stonewall Jackson House, you can see the quilt on display in the hall closet of the 2nd floor. Pictured above is a photo of Erixene Morrison's quilt on display.
