VMI Museum Visitor Services Technician

The VMI Museum is accepting applications for a part time Visitor Services Technician. This position will average approximately three days a week and will require several weekends a month.

The Visitor Services Technician greets visitors, provides orientation to the museum and the history of VMI, assists with store operations to include processing incoming orders, stocking merchandise and running a POS register.

• Excellent customer service skills
• Good speaking voice and diction
• Ability to follow routine procedures
• Ability to closely monitor store appearance, merchandise location, and availability
• Ability to answer telephone, take messages and transfer phone calls
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
• Basic computer skills

The VMI Museum is open from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. daily. The staff’s workday is 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
