Adjunct Instructor Principles of Microeconomics/Principles of Macro-Economics -

The Department of Economics and Business at the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) invites applications for a faculty position starting August 2022. The successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to teaching at the undergraduate level and have a desire to join an interdisciplinary department. They will be required to teach Principles of Microeconomics and/or Principles of Macroeconomics.

The successful candidate must have excellent teaching and communication skills. The following are the requirements and responsibilities associated with the position:

  • Adjunct Instructor (Part-Time)
    Responsibilities: Teach Principles of Microeconomics and/or Principles of Macro- economics. Positions are available to teach up to four classes each semester.
    Requirements: Candidates must have a Master’s degree in Economics, with recent professional experience in the field, or be a Ph.D. student who has passed their comprehensive/qualifying exams.  The ideal candidate will also have experience teaching Economics courses.
